In order to ensure online approval of administrative and technical sanctions of buildings, East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) introduced a web-enabled work flow system 'PRICE' software (Project Information and Cost Estimation).
Shyam Sunder Aggarwal, Mayor of East Delhi, while introducing the system along with Beer Singh Panwar, Chairman of Standing Committee and Vikas Anand, Commissioner of EDMC said that 'PRICE' will lead to preparation of estimates of development works in an efficient and transparent manner.
Mayor said that preparation of estimates regarding civil and electrical works of buildings, the EDMC has followed CPWD Rate Analysis (DAR) and approved rates with cost index. With this Application, estimates preparation can be done for plan/non plan works.
Commissioner Vikas Anand said that 'PRICE' will also help in speedy approval of estimates which reduces delay in issue of administrative and technical sanctions, transparency and accountability will also be ensured.
"The higher authority can view the estimate and return for correction (online) while file History will be maintained for all estimates and Quick retrieval of data. It will also help in auto generation of Administrative and technical sanction while issuing sanction," he added.
While elaborating the 'PRICE', Dr Venkatesh BG, Incharge, Information Technology Department said that the system is a complete e-platform solution for the management of all public works.
