Don’t suppress ambitions, appeals Bhavya Mittal to women

On the eve of International Woman’s Day, Additional Commissioner of Indore Municipal Corporation Bhavya Mittal has appealed the women not to suppress their ambition and also carry on their hobbies lilfe long.

Bhavya Mittal is an IAS officer of 2014 batch and an ex-IITian of Delhi and did her BTech in Civil Engineering and MTech in constructions. She started her career as a probationer officer from Sidhi district then, as SDM in Dhar and Stana districts and then as ADM in Rajgarh and Indore and CEO in Neemuch district panchayat.

She has also received the award of best SDM from the then Chief Secretary of MP Basant Pratap Singh.

Presently, she is Additional Commissioner in Indore Municipal Corporation and looking after Revenue, PM Awas Yojna and water supply.

While talking to ‘The Pioneer’, she told that the IMC is at the threshold of achieving Rs 700 crore as the revenue tax till March 2022 end. More than 15,000 houses are ready in IMC in PMAY which is in the process of handing over to the beneficiary and also a project of Rs 1550 crore of water supply in Indore city including the laying of new water pipelines construction of around 30 overhead tanks and construction new intake well at Jalood water supply besides Narmada river.

Till now, the property tax of the construction part was taken from the big construction and lease holders, but Additional Commissioner Bhavya Mittal has now also got the open area measured of all the big land holders and the recovery of the property tax on the open land is also collected form the land holders and also the GIS mapping is done in IMC area which has added several crores of rupees in the IMC fund which was pending on the land holders since many years.

Bhavya Mittal said that in the guidance of Indore Municipal Commissioner Pratibha Pal, we are trying to make Indore city a clean and green city and also the cleanest city number one for the consecutive sixth year.
