After a wait of 50 years, a new Delhi Government school building in Delhi’s Aram Bagh was inaugurated in the National Capital.
The official said that the city government has provided all facilities including mathematics and science labs and playgrounds in the new complex.
On this occasion, Vishesh Ravi, the senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader said that since 1972 the Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya was functioning in a porta-cabin, but not one Congress-BJP government tried to fix it.
Ravi said that in 2019, the Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia decided to give this school a permanent complex. “Despite the obstacles posed by the corona pandemic, they have shown their commitment by getting it built in record time,” said Ravi
“The earlier governments had always neglected education and the school was never made permanent.
As soon as the Delhi Government of the AAP was formed, the work of construction of schools was done rapidly.
This school has all facilities like math lab, science lab and a modern sports ground. Classes will start in this school from the session 2022-23,” said Ravi.
“It is magic of the miraculous work of chief minister that seven years ago, the government school around which parents and students did not even think of wandering, today there is a huge competition for admission,” Ravi added.
