Coal merchant Rakesh Ojha has demanded investigation by competent agencies regarding investments made by shell companies in channel News 11.
Ojha, owner of Shivam group of companies , had filed a case against the channel owner Arup Chatterjee of demanding extortion which has led to arrest of Chatterjee .
Talking to media Ojha levelled allegations on Arup Chatterjee that he (Arup) claims to be channel head but actually is director of shell companies that have invested in the channel.Demanding an inquiry by ED, income tax and CBI into Arup's news channel . It's a matter of inquiry from where he raised funds for the company as out of 10, six companies were closed within a short period of time since investments were made as claimed by Chatterjee.
Ojha said, "I too am ready for any inquiry if I am involved in any wrongdoing. I was being tortured by the News 11 channel by showing fake stories and promos thus files complaints with police," he claimed .
Suspecting threat on life of self and family members as he was receiving threatening calls, Ojha also demanded security for self and family.
When asked about Manager Roy, the second person named in the FIR, Ojha said that he is the person who was pressing upon him to sell the coke plant to him. The plant owned by Ojha is set up next to Roy's coke plant. Ojha, however, refused to name the person who took Rs 6 lakhs on behalf of Arup as claimed in the FIR.
