Coal India Limited ( CIL) chairman Dr Pramod Agarwal would inaugurate the four-day Mega Geo Mining Fest of India, Khanan-22 scheduled at IIT -ISM from November 3.
Institute deputy director Prof Dhiraj Kumar said, "the Geo Mining Fest of India, Khanan-22 is being organised in collaboration with technology innovation hub-TEXMiN, Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME-USA India Chapter) and CIL Innovation and Incubation Centre".
The CIL chairman would also inaugurate the abovementioned innovation centre too.
Over 100 industry's representatives and about 500 technocrats and mining experts will participate in technical events, panel discussions and lectures by eminent personalities of the industry in the four-day fest.
Prof Kumar said, "The aim and objective of the CIL Innovation and Incubation Centre are for nurturing innovators to form the idea in the domain of technology innovation."
Technology and products developed by TEXMIN would be put on a demonstration.
The fest would prove to be nurturing ground for various CoEs of IIT-ISM in terms of research, innovation, development, commercialization of various technologies. Spreading awareness about safe, smart and sustainable mining would be showcased during the fest, he said.
