An average rainfall of 1,255.1 mm was recorded in Chhattisgarh this monsoon since June 1. The highest rainfall of 2,394.1 mm pounded Bijapur district while Surguja district received the least average rainfall of 590.7 mm.
An official communication on Tuesday said the data is based on district-wise rainfall statistics from June 1 to October 4.
According to the state control room for flood disaster management, Bemetara received 715.9 mm of rain, Koriya 875.3 mm, Raipur 919.9 mm, Durg 970.7 mm and Surajpur 977.1 mm of rain.
Similarly, Balrampur got 1,023.1 mm rain, Jashpur 1,034.5 mm, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi 1,069.5 mm, Kabirdham 1,117.5 mm, Mahasamund 1,159.6 mm, Balodabazar 1,161.8 mm, Raigarh 1,205.5 mm, Korba 1,215.9 mm, Rajnandgaon 1,217.7 mm, Gariyaband 1,266.6 mm, Kondagaon 1,276.2 mm, Balod 1,285.3 mm, , Mungeli 1,308.5 mm, Dhamtari 1,310.5 mm, Janjgir-Champa 1,371.9 mm, Bilaspur 1,449.1 mm, Narayanpur 1,461, Bastar 1,820.5 mm and Kanker 1,533.9 mm.
