A one day workshop on Green Technology and Practices for MSME Entrepreneurs of BIADA in association with M/s TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute), New Delhi was organized at Human Resource Development Center of BSL. During the inaugural session of the workshop, VK Pandey, Executive Director (MM , P & A), BSL, Sanjay Kumar ED (Works), Ritika Jain Senior Program Manager from Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation,  Associate Director (TERI)  P Pal, Madhukar Sinha of Jharkhand Small Industries Association along with MSME entrepreneurs of Biada were present during the workshop . In the beginning of the program, P Pal gave information about the background of Green Economic Recovery Project. VK Pandey and Sanjay Kumar highlighted the importance of green technology and shared their views on the need to make maximum use of green technology and practices in current scenario.

In the technical session of the workshop various important information shared by JK Sharma of M/s Schneider Electric on Energy Efficient Switchgear System, P. Sivantham of M/s Jupiter International Ltd on Solar Power Based Back-up Power System,  P.Nagarkar of M/s TERI on Energy Efficiency in Compressed Air System. and V. Radhakrishnan of M/s Grundfos gave information about Energy Efficient Water Pump. In another session, under the chairmanship of Kaushik Bhattacharya, General Manager (MM-I&P, Enc, R&VR), the opportunities and challenges of adopting and promoting green technology and practices among MSME entrepreneurs were discussed. The participants in the discussion included Assistant Director (MSME Development Institute) G Kumar, Manager (SIDBI) P. Juli, KR Kumar of Bokaro Chamber of Industries, SK Pandey of Laghu Bharti Udyog, Jharkhand Small Tiny and Business Enterprises KK Upadhyay and other participants of the association participated in the joint session.
