Following the spike in Covid-19 cases in the State capital, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday declared nine more places as containment zone.
Two areas in the Tankapani Road and Aigina area and one each in Unit-3, Unit-9, Goutam Nagar, Nayapalli Brit Colony and Unit-6 were declared as containment zone.
“Flat No-A/94 of Utkal Royal Residency in Goutam Nagar, Quarter No- 4RF-20 in Unit-9, Plot No-7 behind Gurudwara in Unit-3 and Flat No-209 of Annapurna Apartment and Plot No 1147 near Apollo Pharmacy in Tankapani Road area, Plot No LIG.118 in Nayapalli Brit Colony under Ward No-38, Plot No.252/2699 in Bhimpur area under Unit-6, Flat No. A/2-303 of Srikhetra Residency and B/1-204 in Srikhetra Residency in Aiginia area were declared containment zones.
With this, total 19 places in the capital city are currently under containment.
On Wednesday five places were declared as containment zone following detection of number of cases.
