Nine students of DPS Ranchi brought laurels to their school by qualifying coveted examination Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Physics (IOQP), Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Chemistry (IOQC), Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Biology (IOQB), Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Astronomy (IOQA), Group A and Group B (2021-22). Total 30 students have been selected from Jharkhand in Part 2 of Indian Olympiad Qualifier (IOQ) thus making DPS Ranchi bag a share of 30 per cent in this success.
In IOQP there are six qualifiers from Jharkhand out of which two are from DPS Ranchi thus contributing 33.3 per cent in this category. In IOQC, DPS Ranchi flag was kept high by 1 student out of a total of 6 from Jharkhand, this way occupying 16.7 per cent seats.
In IOQB there are 06 qualifiers are from Jharkhand out of which 02 is from DPS Ranchi thus securing 33.3 per cent in this category. In IOQA (Group A) and IOQA (Group B), 04 students of DPS Ranchi out of a total of 12 students from Jharkhand qualified for Part 2 exam thus contributing 33.3 per cent in this category.
The students who qualified in the exam include SuryanshSrijan – Class XII, Vikash Kumar Ojha – Class XII, Shristi Singh – Class XII, Aryan Kumar Singh – Class XI, Kislaya – Class XI and Yashaswi Jain – Class X.
It is worth mentioning here that Vikash Kumar Ojha of Class XII qualified in IOQP, IOQC and IOQA (Group A), SuryanshSrijan of Class XII qualified in IOQP and IOQA (Group A) and 21 students scored above Minimum Admissible Score (MAS).
Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, DPS Ranchi congratulated the winners and wished them success for their future. He said that proper guidance of the teachers; hard work and sincerity of the students always pays rich dividends. The effort shown is praiseworthy and it signifies that the students are preparing themselves for a greater role ahead.
