Four persons were killed on the spot in an accident on NH-16 near Badapokharia under the Jankia police station in Khordha district on Thursday morning.
Among the deceased were two men and two women, who were in the age group of 25 to 35 years belonging to Andhra Pradesh. The incident occurred when their car rammed into a stationary truck after the driver lost balance on the wheels of the vehicle.
Police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for postmortem. Cops seized two mobile phones from the accident spot and were trying to ascertain the identities of the deceased. Both the vehicles were seized.
