Thirty-one students of the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IHM) here have been given placement in starred hotels based in Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had taken the initiative to revive the government-run institute by offering many courses to students.
At present 116 students are pursuing Bachelor degree course in Hotel Management and Diploma in Hotel Management in the institute, an official communication said on Saturday.
Rekha Shukla, Principal of the institute, said 12 students have been offered jobs in Courtyard by Marriott Raipur and 19 students in Hotel Sayaji, Raipur.
She added that Mayfair Hotel provides internships to students on a regular basis.
She said the institute is now providing employment opportunities to youth in the hospitality sector.
