encash on this festive mood through different genre films, including fantasy, crime thriller and romance.
After a gap of over two years, Ollywood actor Sritam Das will be back as a director with his latest movie ‘Mahabahu’ set to be released on August 25. It is produced under the banners RR Events and Cine Production and Studio 360 Banners,
Sritam hoped that the audience will connect with the film which is filled with action, romance, and comedy. It has an original story. There will be a character of a miracle child played by Lipakshey (Daughter of Sritam Das). Sritam also plays a major role in the movie.
Actors Akash Dasnayak and Poonam Mishra will be seen playing lead roles in the movie. The other actors in the film are Ushashi Mishra, Papi Santuka, Rabi Mishra, Harihara Mohapatra, and Tapi Mishra. A comedy team of Ollywood will also play roles in different sequences. While it has been produced by Ramesh Barik and K Tamanna, Sharanabinda has written the dialogues and Prem Anand has given the music for the film which has four songs. Rajendra Behera is the photography director.
“The audience will definitely love this movie as they will find Odia culture and tradition in the movie. They will also see the love and belief of devotees towards Lord Jagannath in the movie,” said Sritam.
New Odia film ‘Mayabe’ directed by veteran director Sudhansu Sahu is going to heat the theatre on August 26 across the State. Actors Amlan and Bhumika play the lead role in the film of suspense and thriller
genre. Actress Sneha, who also plays an important role in ‘Mayabe’, said the script is very strong and experienced artists are playing different roles. “I hope it will turn out a good movie for the entertainment of the audience,” she said.
Another actress Arlin Ankita said since it is a crime thriller, which is rarely attempted in Bollywood, people of all generations will like it. Besides, experienced filmmakers are involved in the project and hence the final product will be entertaining and appealing. “This is my second film with director Sudhansu Sahu. I started my film career under his direction. So I feel comfortable and look forward to the
shooting of the film,” she said.
It is produced under the banner of Aneesh Entertainment. The other
actors in the cast include Alivia, Asutosh, Kunal, Chakradhar, and Prashant.
Odia romantic movie ‘Kiss Miss” is going to be released on August 31, on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Puja featuring Sivani Sangita and
Swaraj Barik in lead role. It is directed by Susant Mani, while the producer is actress Jhilik Bhattacharjee.
The music of the film is given by Abhijit Majumdar. Director Susant Mani also did the screenplay. Dialogue has been penned by Sanjeet Rath and Kuhu Mall has done cinematography. Editing has been done by Sukumar Mani, while choreographers Lubun Tubun have done an excellent job. Linkan Pattnaik has done the artwork.
Packed with love romance and action, the movie aims to entertain its audience. Apart from Shivani and Swaraj, Pritiraj, Nitu Sing, Linkan Patnaik, Somen Pujari and Dharitri will be seen in key roles. Odia audience has already given their thumbs up to Shivani and Swaraj for the chemistry between them.
