All India Sikh Students Federation Eastern India President Satnam Singh Gambhir said that today Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that 26th December will be celebrated every year as Veer Bal Diwas. Modi has made a special announcement on the day of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti (Prakash Parv). Modi said, "This is a fitting tribute to the courage of Sahibzadas and their quest for justice." And ideals give power to millions. He never bowed before injustice. He envisioned a world that was inclusive and harmonious. The need of the hour is for more and more people to know about them."
After this announcement, Gambhir said, 'This decision is welcome. The courage shown by the Sahibzadas. It is unique and everyone around the world should know about his sacrifice. This is a commendable step in this direction."
