‘Delist STs who changed religion’ -- Janajati Surakhya Mancha holds rally in K’mal

The ST people of Kandhamal took out a rally to the Collectorate and submitted a memorandum in the name of the President of India through the Collector demanding delisting of those ST people who left their religion, tradition, culture, faith and accepted other religion.
“Dr Kartik Oram at first had presented a memorandum before the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi wherein 348 MPs had signed and given their consent to consider the matter of dilisting the ST people and denying them of reservation facility who left the ST culture, tradition, faith, religious practice and embraced other religion. But under
international pressure, she later ignored the matter,” said the
leaders.
Janajati Surakhya Mancha president Pabitra Kanhar, working president,
Dinabandhu Kanhar, district president  Dillip Kanhar led the rally.
