After Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur, case of black marketing of Remdesivir injection was reported in Ratlam ; police have seized an injection from a youth involved in black marketing.

Police have seized an injection from youth identified as Utsav Nayak, who works at Jeevansh, a private hospital in Ratlam. In this case, accused Utsav Nayak and his partner Yashpal Singh Rathore have been arrested.

During interrogation, the accused told that they have been provided with the injection by Pranav Joshi of Mandsaur, who used to provide injection at Rs 25000 and which they would sell at Rs 30000.

According to police, a person had reported that a member of his family was suffering from Corona and came in contact with the accused in need of injection for Rs 30000  but he suspected that the said injection could not be so expensive and seller could be member of black marketing gang and informed the police that accused would provide injection near Jeevansh Hospital.

On the information, police team, reached to the hospital and nabbed Utsav Nayak of  Petlavad and recovered an injection.  He revealed that he had come to sell the said injection has been provided by his partner Dr. Yashpal Singh Rathore. After this, the police searched Jeevansh Hospital and detained Yashpal.

A case has been registered against the accused in this case under sections 420, 3/7. SP Gaurav Tiwari told the media that from where the accused injections were brought, who else is involved in the gang, how far the gang has spread is yet to be found.
