The Utkal University on Friday launched a TCS- Youth Employability Programme (YEP) to provide benefits to young graduates to be competent to face the modern-day employment challenges.
The programme in the first phase will be offered to non-engineering graduates of the university and extended to affiliated colleges in a second phase.
Inaugurating the programme, university Vice-Chancellor Prof Sabita Acharya lauded the efforts. She said five C's are important for youths -Competency, Confidence, Connection and Character and Contribution.
PG Council Chairman Prof Basanta Mallick highlighted the need of soft skills and employability skills for the underprivileged students to be successful.
TCS-CSR general manager Priya S Mahapatra expressed confidence that the university’s collaboration would bring changes in students' outlook and help them prove their talents at national and international levels.
The programme was conducted by the Utkal Entrepreneurship & Career Hub and coordinated by Director Prof AA Khan.
