Two held for robbery bid at Punjab National Bank

Sukhisewania police have booked two masked miscreants for attempting to break the strong room lock of Punjab National Bank branch at Chopda Kalan late in the night on Thursday.

According to the police, two miscreants tried to enter strong room but failed in breaking the locks and escaped the spot. Police have registered a case on the charge of attempt to commit burglary against the three accused and have launched search for the two miscreants.

A complaint was lodged by Mahendra Banodi who is posted with the bank  branch. In his complaint he stated that when the employees opened the  window grill was found broken.

On the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation.

During the investigation when the CCTV footage of the CCTV camera installed in the bank was investigated it was found that two miscreants tried to break locker room of the bank.

The attempts were made late in the night. After miscreants would escape and wait for the alarm to cut off and made three such attempts and after the third attempt they gave up and escaped the spot. Two accused tried to break locks and kept vigil during the attempt.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 457 and 511 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The footages of the CCTV cameras would be investigated.
