Seven more IPS officers shifted to newly-formed police commissionerates

The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday shifted seven more IPS officers and posted them in the newly constituted Kanpur and Varanasi police commissionerates.

Vikrant Veer, who was shunted out after Hathras rape and murder of a Dalit girl, too got posting as deputy commissioner of police (DCP) in Varanasi. He was attached with the DGP office and awaiting posting.

According to an official communiqué released on Saturday, Commandant of 23rd Battalion of Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) Anoop Kumar Singh, ASP in Intelligence HQ, BBGTS Murthi, SP in Training HQ, Salman Taj Patil, SP (CB CID) in Kanpur, Raveena Tyagi, and Sanjeev Tyagi, attached with DGP office were shifted to police commissionerate in Kanpur Nagar as deputy commissioners of police respectively. Besides the above, SP (Dial-112) Amit Kumar was shifted as deputy commissioner of police (DCP) in Varanasi.
