Sai Academy, SGPC Hockey Academy and HAR Hockey Academy win matches

Sai Academy, SGPC Hockey Academy and HAR Hockey Academy won matches on the second day of the first Sub Junior Boys Academy National Hockey Championship-2021 being played in Bhopal.

The championship is being organized under the joint aegis of Hockey India and Sports and Youth Welfare Department at Sai Center Village Gora.

On Tuesday, the first match was played between Dhyan Chand Hockey Academy and Sai Academy. In which Sai Academy defeated Dhyan Chand Hockey Academy by 3-2. In the first quarter of this exciting match, both the teams scored 1-1 goals.

Amrit Horo scored for Sai Academy in the 11th minute, while Dig Johnson Dungdung scored in the 15th minute for Dhyan Chand Academy. In the second quarter, Dhyan Chand Academy scored another goal to take the lead 2-1. This goal was scored in the 22nd minute of the match by Mohd. Arish Khurshid from a penalty corner.

In the fourth quarter, Sai Academy made a scintillating comeback, scoring two goals and taking the match 3-2 in their favour. A Sudhir Kumar scored a penalty corner in the 57th minute and Mrityunjay Pratap Singh scored a field goal in the very next minute to ensure the team's victory.

The second match of the day was played between Gumanahera Risers Academy and SGPC Hockey Academy. In which SGPC Hockey Academy won 4-1. The first and second quarters of the match were goalless. Both the teams tried to score but without success. In the third quarter, Kamaljit Singh of SGPC Hockey Academy converted a penalty corner to give the team a 1-0 lead.

Soon after, Akshay Kumar of Gumanahera Risers Academy scored a goal to bring the team to a 1-1 draw. However, for AGPC, Kamaljit Singh scored another goal from a penalty corner in the 39th minute to give the team a 2-1 lead. For SGPC, Harpreet Singh scored a field goal in the 43rd minute to take the team 3-1. AGPC scored another goal in the fourth quarter of the match.

AGPC's Govind Singh scored in the 53rd minute to give the team a decisive 4-1 lead. The third and final match of the day was played between HAR Hockey Academy and Tamil Nadu Hockey Academy. HAR Hockey Academy defeated Tamil Nadu Hockey Academy 25-0 in one sided. HAR Academy scored 4 goals in the first quarter, 3 in the second, 10 in the third and 8 in the fourth.

Sachin of HAR Academy scored 5 goals. Sahil, Mohit and Rohit Khatri scored 4 goals each for the team. Raman and Dayaram scored 2 goals each. Manav Paul, Vinay, Hansveer and Sahil Ruhal scored 1-1 to help the team win by a huge margin.
