Miscreants looted Rs 8 lakh from a petrol pump employee in Jajpur district on Wednesday afternoon.The incident took place at Kabatabandha under the Jenapur police station.
According to the information, the petrol pump money was not deposited due to the closure of the bank for the last four days.
An employee of the Kantapada petrol pump was going by his motorbike to deposit the money at the State Bank of India when three miscreants, wearing masks on their faces, came in a black and red Apache, attacked the staff, opened fire on their bikes and grabbed the moneybag. The Jenapur police are investigating into the incident.
