A zero shadow day is a day on which the Sun does not cast a shadow of an object at noon, when the sun will be exactly at the zenith position. At the programme the live stream on zero shadow day. Saket Singh of Regional Science Centre said that usually every year the day is observed with fervour at the centre premises, but following the Covid protocol, the event is held online. He explained the Zero shadow day in detail and why such phenomena takes place.

He said that This phenomenon occurs when the Sun's declination becomes equal to the latitude of the location.
