A draft of a new film making policy is being prepared in Chhattisgarh on the directives of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, it was announced on Thursday. It is expected to be ready soon.
Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat along with Chhattisgarhi filmmakers, directors and artists reviewed the draft of the policy via a virtual meeting here, said an official press release.
Bhagat said that through Chhattisgarhi films, work would be done to cherish the art, culture and tradition in the state while local artists will get a bigger platform and opportunities.
At the meeting, the producers, directors and artists gave their suggestions on the draft.
For a long time, the film fraternity has been seeking a film making policy in the state.
