Malwi Gayan, tribal dance ‘Saila and Karama’ performed at MPSTM

The Bhopalites enjoyed Thursday evening with folk dance and music at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum  

‘Malwi Gayan’ by Jeejeevisha Shrivastava-Seoni and Gond tribal dance ‘Saila and Karama’ by  Lamu Lal Dhurve from Anuppur were performed under Gamak series.

Jeejeevisha Srivastava and group began the performance with Ganesh Vandana  Paanch Ladoo Pondhriya. It was followed by "Gulab Jaiso Phool Mare, Kite Udave Re Rasiya, Dhamak-Dhamak Pari Re Dhol".

Jeejeevisha Srivastava started singing at the age of 12. Ms. Srivastava studied Indian classical singing from Indira Kala Sangeet University - Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh. You have made a sweet performance on various prestigious forums in the country.

She was accompanied by  Naina Srivastava, Yogita Pawar and Sangam Pavariya on vocals, on tabla by Arin Srivastava, on Harmonium by Shivam Nagar, and on Dholak by Sagar Srivastava.

 The second performance was the Gond tribal dance 'Saila and Karama' by Lamu Lal Dhurve and group.

The dancers were accompanied on Shehnai by Hamchand Dhurve, Mandar by Durjan Lal, Timki by Krishna Kumar and Sarfaraj Singh playing Manjira and Dilip Kumar, Jogha Singh, Dealan Singh, Kamal Bhan Singh, Rajesh Singh, Mahendri Bai, Dealan Devi, Yashoda Devi, Kaleshwari Devi and Gomti Devi in the dance.

Saila dance is named Saila because of performing dance song with the hand of the hand. After the Dussehra festival of the Gond tribe, Saila Reena is performed with dance songs on the night of Sharad Chandni and collectively perform Saila Reena dance songs in the village on Diwali. Whenever, on the special invitation of a prominent person from another village, the women and men of the village take their own cultural party in their presence and go from one village to another and perform Saila-Rina dance songs. Mezwan village is very respectful to this team and at the conclusion, takes donations of cow and takes blessings.

Karama dance is an enchanting dance that inspires karma. The beat and rhythm of the instrumental instrument: Timki adds to the stunning sound of the instrument.

In the Shukla Paksha of the month of Bhado caste, God is worshiped by worshiping his favorite deity, Kul Dev, Bada Dev and other deities. Karma songs are done after eating Nava and when a female guest comes to the village from somewhere, the young man and woman of the village take it and perform the Karma dance song.
