The folk music and dance impressed the audience with its tranquility. Under the Gamak series, Malawi folk songs and Kathi folk dance were presented on Tuesday at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum Youtube channel.
The Tribal Folk Kala and Boli Vikas Akademi broadcasted the presentation of 'Malawi Gayan' of Shalini Vyas, Bhopal and Kathi folk dance by Laxminarayan Harda on YouTube channel.
The programme began with the performance by Shalini Vyas Malawi Gayan. She started off her presentation with Ganesh Vandana- Gauri's Lal Ganesh with Manavan followed by 'Uchi Pal Talav Ki Ho Mhara Bhairu Ji' Mata's hymn- 'Maiya Ajo Ek Vaar', Wadhwa Song- Pelo Wadhavo Ghodi sang 'Jhelyyo', Banna song - 'Sadak par Kesar ki Kyari', Mamera song - 'Bira ji ramak-jhamak se mahare yahan ajo ji' and Banna song - 'Banna ji theto japur jajo ji'.
Shalini was accompanied by Mangala Upadhyay and Madhavi Joshi on vocals, on Dholak by Raghuveer Singh and on Harmoniumby Jitendra Sharma.
Shalini Vyas has been singing Malvi for the last twenty five years, she took her initial education in singing from Guru Rameshwar Dayal Joshi and then received music education from Ustad Alauddin Khan, Sehore. Received the degree of 'Prabhakar' from Allahabad Music University and 'Sangeet Shiromani' from Music College Mathura.
He has been presenting Malawi and Nimari folk songs from Akashvani Bhopal from time to time from Akashvani Bhopal. He received 'Kala Samman' from Sarveshwari Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Bhopal in the year 2010 and 'Lok Bhasha Samman' from Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Bhopal in the year 2018.
