Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam disbursed loan cheques to 136 successful candidates from different target groups under Delhi SC/ST/ OBC/minorities and Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (DSFDC).
Gautam said "This financial assistance has helped those belonging to the socially and economically weaker sections to earn a livelihood. These sections especially the handicapped are often marginalized from mainstream jobs which results in poverty. Our loan scheme has helped all the target groups including the SC/ST/OBC/minority to lead a life of dignity and honour," he said.
A sum of Rs 191.15 lakh was distributed to 136 successful candidates.
During the financial year 2019-20, the Corporation disbursed a total sum of Rs 485.08 lakh to 268 candidates as loans. In the financial year 2020-21, DSFDC disbursed loans worth Rs 412.48 lakh to 372 candidates belonging to different target groups.
