A man and his son of the Similpada of Angul district were arrested for allegedly duping a youth of Rs 4.50 lakh on the pretext of getting him a job in a blue-chip company.The accused, identified as Ghanashyam Mishra and his son, had taken the money from one Pranabandhu Jena of Benagadia in the district on assurance of getting him a job in Tata Company. The accused had received money around three years ago but failed fulfil assurances.
Later a disappointed Pranabandhu demanded his money back from them. Though accused repaid Rs 80,000 in installments, they didn’t return rest amoun Later, Pranabandhu lodged a police complaint following which cops arrested the duo. “A complaint was received from one person based on which a case was registered at Colliery police station and accused were arrested. We will move court seeking their remand for further probe. We will probe on if any other people were duped by duo,” Angul SP Jagmohan Meena said.
