Devkamal hosp to come up with new branch next year

Devkamal Hospital is going to celebrate the 13th year of its inception on Saturday. The hospital in 13 years of inception has been rendering medical services to people at affordable rates along with adding new units. The hospital has added a burn unit, hand surgery unit, IVF centre, modified ICU, dialysis centre, CT scan centre and blood bank.

Dr Anant Sinha, who leads a team of three plastic surgeons at Devkamal Hospital, Bajra, Itki Road, Ranchi on completion of 13 years of the hospital said, “We have been rendering medical service to people at affordable rates. We are coming up with another unit of Devkamal hospital at Tupudana. The Tupudana hospital will be a state-of- art health hub with all modern facilities. If everything goes as per the plan, then the new hospital will be in people service by July next year.”

Dr Sinha, who is recipient of Jharkhand Samman, Jharkhand Ratna, Bhagwan Mahaveer awards, is a leading Plastic and reconstructive surgeon with about 30 years of surgical experience said, “The 250 bed hospital will provide medical treatment in all major diseases. Also 70 beds at the new hospital will be reserved for Ayushman Bharat patients.”

Sinha said that a centre of surgical excellence is their aim and they are moving in the direction. Sinha said, “In these 13 years we have worked hard, sometimes round the clock and aimed higher and higher but we have kept our feet on the ground.”

The hospital, unlike other private health hubs, has never lost touch with reality and has rendered service to patients with honesty especially with government schemes like Ayushman Bharat scheme.

The hospital in eight years has admitted around 53,000 patients with 44,566 operations performed at the hospital. More than 9000 patients have been admitted at ICU, apart from 8500 burns admissions in the past eight years.

The hospital has also performed 253 confirmed pregnancies (IVF) and also issued 17000 blood bags so far.

The hospital along with providing medical treatment at affordable rates is also rendering philanthropic services such that most of the children of staff members are supported for their educational needs by hospital management.
