The Congress in Chhattisgarh on Thursday continued protests against the Narendra Modi government for hiking fuel prices.
PCC chief Mohan Markam expressed his grouse against the Central government by touring villages in his legislative area Kondagaon in an auto-rickshaw.
He tweeted that this was his way of denouncing the anti-people policies of the Modi government.
“The prices of essential commodities have also risen due to the hike in fuel prices, causing problems for the common man,” he added. Raipur West legislator Vikas Upadhyay and his supporters pushed motorbikes and carried empty LPG gas cylinders on the busy roads of the capital. The Congress activists tried to proceed towards the BJP office here but were intercepted by the police near Lalganga Mall.
