BGH holds blood donation camp

A blood donation camp was organised at the Blood Center of Bokaro General Hospital on the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day with the theme “Donate Blood, Keep Heartbeat”. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Dr. SD Pandey, ACMO (Medical and Health Services) and Dr. Chandra Banerjee by donating blood. In the blood donation camp, ACMO (Medical and Health Services) and In-charge Blood Bank Dr. Shravan Kumar, Dr. Rajdeep, Dr. Surendra and Blood Bank staff Sister Neeta Shi, Counselor Kavita Kumar, Suman Kumari and Kaushal Jha were present.

On this occasion, Kumar said that accident survivors are brought to Bokaro General Hospital in and around Bokaro and in that case there is an urgent need of blood at that time. Therefore, if the blood bank of Bokaro General Hospital remains rich with blood, then only the patient can be treated at the right time. He said that there is no weakness of any kind by donating blood. Every healthy person whose age is 18 to 60 years can donate blood at least 3 times in a year.
