The people of Jharkhand have started availing the facilities offered by Amrit Vahini website, App and the related chatboat. 31,059 people visited the website during the past four days with 8260 people visiting the app on Monday. Till Sunday evening, 356 persons booked hospital beds using it while 37,375 persons availed the services offered by the chatboat. Amrit Vahini app is becoming a helping tool for Covid patients as they are getting all information at a single platform.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren on the launch of the app and chatboat said that many effective arrangements have been made to curb Coronavirus infection in the State. In this sequence, one more step has been taken through Amrit Vahini.
For the chatboat, interested persons can send their names on WhatsApp number 85955-24447 that helps open a chat box through which they can obtain medical advice, information on prospective plasma donors and diet chart.
Amit Prakash, a resident of Kanke Road area said that the Amrit Vahini app is a helpful tool as at a single platform they can get all Covid information. Prakash’s father who is Covid 19 patient said, “On Monday I checked the availability of beds in Ranchi. We were surprised to know that there were beds available at 59 hospitals which includes 18 Government hospitals and 41 at Private hospitals.”
Prakash said, “Though my father is not serious, but the app shows that six beds with a ventilator was available out of 123 ventilators beds. Similarly, there were 30 beds without ventilators out of a total 550 beds.”
Similarly out of 1758 beds with oxygen supported 116 beds were available. At the same time out of 772 beds without oxygen 465 beds were available.
Though ‘Amrit Vahini’ App or website one can get all information about the availability of hospital beds and even book one for himself or anybody else online. The bed booked by the person will be kept reserved for him for the next two hours. If the person, who has made the booking, fails to turn up, it will be transferred to another person.
Echoing the views of Amit Prakash another person, Manoj Kumar said, “Real time information of availability of normal Covid beds, oxygenated beds, ICU beds and ventilator beds will be available in all government and private hospitals of the State on the Amrit Vahni website and app- http: // amritvahini.in.”
As per Covid bulletin of Monday morning Jharkhand’s Covid-19 death toll rose to 3,853 as the state reported 97 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, while 4,169 new cases pushed the tally to 2,86,343. The state currently has 58,806 active Covid-19 cases, while 2,23,684 patients have so far recovered from the disease.
