A nine-year-old girl died after her scarf noosed around her neck at a shanty near an under construction building under Gandhi Nagar police station area on Friday.
According to the police, Sanjana Vanshkar was found strangulated and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
Police said that during investigation, it was found that the deceased was swinging at her house using a scarf tied over bamboo and accidentally, the noose was tightened around her neck which caused the death.
After the preliminary examination, the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under Section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The parents of the deceased work as labourers and at the time of the incident, they were at work. The father returned in afternoon and found that Sanjana was hanging.
Meanwhile, a 16-year-old girl died after she fell in a well at Bhojpura village under Nazeerabad police station area; deceased went to fetch water in the afternoon and met accident.
Police said that the deceased Rajneja Pardi downed in a well, family and locals rushed to her rescue and took her to hospital where she was declared dead.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation. The water level of well was high and water motor was used to decrease the water level which took around half an hour and later she was rescued.
