Dr SV Kota Reddy assumed charge as VC of the VIT-AP University. Dr D Subhakar handed over the charge to the new incumbent at a simple function. While speaking at the gathering, he urged the faculty members to focus on innovative research and asked the staff to extend full support.
Dr Reddy has a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay. On this occasion, he held a meeting with heads of the departments and gave directions for smooth delivery of services to the students. He advised the university to strictly follow the directions of the government from time to time.
Professor Jagadish Chandra Muduganti, Dean Academics and Dr CLV Sivakumar, Registrar, informed the VC about initiatives taken by the university to serve the student community better, particularly strategies followed to deliver the online classes, combating difficulties created by pandemic for physical delivery.
