Seventy-eight-year-old Jatani Congress MLA Suresh Kumar Routray, popularly known as Sura Routray, has donned a new avatar in his debut in Odia song ‘Rangabati’, for which he has rapped. He has also danced to the beat in the music video with his signature lines “Madichala” and “Ready Ta”.
Routray, who is known for cornering and attacking the State Government with his sarcastic and witty comments, lent his voice for the song ‘Rangabati’at the Milan Studio in Cuttack. The number has been composed by music director Japani.Produced by the Armaan Music, the song has been written by Tapu Nayak and sung by Barnali Hota and Jyotirmayee.
The music director has clarified that the ‘Rangabati’ song is no way related to the popular Sambalpuri folksong having the same title.
