The Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS) organised a virtual musical concert ‘We Care’ in the National Capital on Sunday.
PFWS official said that the virtual music concert was enjoyed by a large spectrum of viewers coming from police organizations of the country including Delhi Police.
The concert was displayed on digital media platforms including Facebook, You Tube, Twitter and Instagram.
Sonal Shah, wife of Union Home Minister Amit Shah was Chief Guest on the occasion. The virtual music concert was also attended by Mala Baijal, wife of Anil Baijal, Delhi Lieutenant Governor and Aruni Doval, wife of Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor.
Shah appreciated varied activities undertaken by PFWS during the Covid pandemic and appreciated the focus on undertaking schemes which promoted self-reliance amongst wives of policemen.
“On the occasion the PFWS song and E-Recipe Book was released by the Chief Guest. The recipe book consists of selected and adjudged best recipes crafted by wives of policemen during the lockdown and winners of Khana Khazana competition,” said Police Families Welfare Society official.
“Another dimension of the programme was to showcase the tremendous talent hidden in the families of Delhi Police. Inter generational talent was witnessed live by mother daughter duo items apart from the melodious voice of young talented singers who also gave a tribute to the 13 coronavirus warriors of Delhi Police who sacrificed their lives in the discharge of the duties and in service of the country,” said the official.
