A person was arrested in Ganjam district on Monday evening for allegedly spreading misinformation regarding the coronavirus outbreak.
The accused was identified as Areya of Bada Arjyapali. According to police sources, he had shared a fake message on WhatsApp that a person of Chattrapur area was affected by coronavirus.
The State Government has ordered for stringent action against rumour mongers in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.
