In a surprise visit, Chhattisgarh Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar on Friday inspected the tourist place built on the Maikal mountains of Chilpi Valley in village Saroda Dadar in Kabirdham district.
Praising the tourist spot which is full of natural beauty, he said the government is continuously working for development and beautification of such tourist places in the state.
The Saroda Dadar, a tribal dominated area and a tourism spot, is located in the Chilpi Valley bordering Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has built separate resorts and cottages to accommodate tourists here.
A Baiga ethnic resort has also been built on a 11-acre land area at a cost of Rs 13 crores. The resort has eco log huts for tourists to stay and a cafeteria built in a rural setting.
