Though the railways have decided to restart operation of Dhanbad - Gaya express train from Friday after a gap of almost eight months, Dhanbad - Ranchi daily express is yet on hold.
Besides, the much demanded link with Asansol also was reintroduced from Wednesday by operating two passenger trains between two locations.
The booking counter for second sitting class also started operation at Dhanbad railway station giving much relief to passengers willing to travel to different locations via Dhanbad - Gaya and Dhanbad - Asansol trains.
Incidentally, the link for state capital Ranchi from Dhanbad and Deoghar is still at hold in absence of nod from State Government.
The express trains from both aforementioned towns that used to ply on daily basis prior to COVID-19 lockdown but still are to return on tracks.
