CCL achieves record 2 lakh tonnes coal dispatch in a day

Thursday, 10 September 2020 | PNS | Ranchi

Central Coalfield Limited (CCL) mining project Magadh-Amrapali made history for the first time by loading 17 rakes on September 8. Over 2 lakh tonnes of coal was also dispatched on Tuesday from the entire CCL in one day of this financial year, which is a major achievement during the Corona period. Simultaneously, 12 tonnes of rake coal was lifted on a single line, breaking its record in Shivpur railway siding.

(CCL) Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD) PM Prasad visited the first command area as soon as he took over the CCL on September 1.

In this episode, on September 3 last, the CCL's largest project Magadh-Amrapali reached out and encouraged the personnel and got information about the project and various issues related to it.

CCL on Tuesday recorded several records in coal dispatch due to Prasad's promotion, teamwork and once again increasing demand for coal.

Prasad has congratulated the CCL family especially Magadh-Amrapali and the team of Marketing and Sales for this unprecedented achievement and asked them to set a new record in the future.

The coal transmission was affected to a large extent due to the lock-down implemented during the Covid-19 global pandemic, with coal being slowed down very slowly. Once again, with the cooperation, CCL is steadily moving towards its goal in coal production and dispatch.

It may be note here that Joint Consultative Steering Committee (JCSC) meeting under the chairmanship of CMD CCL was held at CCL HQ, Ranchi on September, 5 to review ongoing work of the company.

The various precautions related to Covid-19 pandemic were observed in the meeting and the norms of Social distance being followed. The members of JCSC put forward their views through video conferencing.

The newly appointed Prasad addressed the various members of the committee virtually. JCSC is a platform for constructive dialogue and discussions between the trade union representatives and the management of the company.

The meeting was attended by Director Technical (P and P) Bhola Singh, Director (Finance) NK Agarwal, General Manager (IR)

Umesh Singh, representatives of the various trade unions along with the General Managers and Head of Departments of CCL Headquarters.
