Looking into the current situation of lockdown till May 3, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made changes the 2020-2021 syllabus for Classes 9 to 12.
As the schools will remain shut down for a longer period, CBSE has taken the decision keeping in view the time required by teachers to complete their syllabus in class.
NCERT has come up with a new academic calendar as well as per the HRD Ministry's orders. The changed CBSE syllabus has fewer activities and practical work since this is something that cannot be carried out via the online classes that CBSE schools are holding to make sure studies don't come to a standstill with the Coronavirus pandemic.
