The monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Assembly should be extended from 4 days to 10 days, Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik of the BJP said on Friday.
In a statement to the media after the notification of the four-day session from August 25, Kaushik said this was too short a period. The session should be extended for 10 days so that important public oriented issues can be discussed in detail. He suggested that a virtual Assembly session can be organised keeping in view the Covid-19 pandemic. The BJP MLAs will seek an extension of the monsoon session, he said.
