nTo ensure the safety of the patients in view of the rampaging Covid-19, Raipur's Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Medical College Hospital, the biggest hospital in Chhattisgarh, has been divided into three zones.
The zones have been divided in such a way that different wards remain are cut off from others, thus restricting the movement of people from one zone to another.
Intimating the new arrangement, Hospital Superintendent Dr Vineet Jain said: “The confirmed cases of Covid-19 patients have been kept in first zone. A total ban has been imposed on movement of the common man to this zone. This is to avoid any spread of the disease.”
“The second zone is of Covid-19 suspected cases where the patients with symptoms of coronavirus are being treated. They are waiting for the sample test report. The third zone is of non-Covid patients, admitted for various other diseases,” he said.
Dr Jain added that this has proved to be better also for the doctors, para-medical staff and those arriving in the hospital for treatment. Even patients and their family members cannot enter other zones.
