Bhubaneswar on Monday registered 133 more Covid-19 positive cases, pushing the city’s total tally to 4,062.
Of the new cases, 96 were from quarantine centres and 37 were local contact cases, said the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The quarantined cases included seven of BJB Nagar linked with earlier positive cases; seven of Nayapalli near Krishna Tower; seven of Palasuni linked with an earlier case; five of IRC Village VIP Colony linked with an earlier case; four of Old Town Rameshwarpatna linked with an earlier case; four of Mancheswar; four of Laxmisagar Oscar City; three of Bomikhal linked with an earlier case; three of Badagada Brit Colony; three of Nayapalli OMC Colony; three at a quarantine centre linked with an earlier case; two employees of a private hospital; two of Bhoinagar; two of Khandagiri linked with an earlier case; and one of Pokhariput.
The local contacts included three cases of Dumduma Phase-II; three of Jharpada; two of VSS Nagar; two of Suryanagar; one of Pokhariput Lingaraj Vihar; one of Paika Nagar Delta Square; and one of Unit-9.
However, 200 patients recovered from the disease in the city on the day.
In Cuttack, 53 more positive cases were detected on Monday. With this, the city’s total count rose to 1,721. While 19 cases were detected from containment zones, 18 were from home quarantine, 10 local contacts and six from institutional quarantine.
