Season 3, Episodes 10
Animation
Rated: 6/10
Trump roasts Trump with his own signature brand of stupidity, outrage and elan. Season 3 takes off with the Impeachment sham that Trump survived with flying colours. As he puts it: “I can do anything and get away with it as I have been chosen by the people of America.”
The self-deprecating humour, the audacity of impunity that Trump wears brings in a lot of laughter into this very American series much like The Simpsons. It will appeal to the people who are in the knowledge of America’s domestic politics, policy blunders and the demeanour that the President sports.
Trump is undoubtedly a globally recognised political clown so situations around him are insanely funny and the scriptwriter has done well to catch all the nuances to present Trump roasting himself, more specifically roasting the citizens of America for voting him in.
Ticklish subjects like foreign affairs, economy and the upcoming Presidential elections are issues some of the episodes touch upon and that includes the Clintons coming into the picture from their living room television viewing and keeping their hyper candidate in the race who is on a personal high of anxiety, aspiration, scepticism of her prospects and yet compelling optimism in dreaming to be the possible first-ever native American woman President!
Entirely up to you whether you are in a mood to connect to this sort of very American comedy. One thing is there though, Season 3 shows no fatigue whatsoever in pressing the funny bone button.
