The two-day Jim Corbett- Pandit GB Pant symposium concluded in the Birla Vidya Mandir school in Nainital on the weekend.
The principal of Lawrence School, Sanawar (Himachal Pradesh), Vinay Pande was the chief guest of the seminar. Addressing the students on the occasion, Pande stressed on the importance of hard work for achieving the target set. Students from a total of 13 schools also participated in various competitive events held during the two-day event.
The winners of these competitions were also presented awards at the conclusion of the event.
In the quiz competition, the VK Birla Centre for Education, Pune secured the first position followed by Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital and Sainik School Ghodakhal at second and third positions respectively.
In the creative writing competition, Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior came first followed by Birla Vidya Mandir and Mayo College Girl’s School, Ajmer came second and third respectively.
In the date competition, the best entry and best speaker award was won by Springdale Public School, Pusa Road while best block and tackle award was presented to Birla Vidya Mandir. Speaking at the conclusion, the school principal Anil Sharma commended all the students for participating in the competitions.
