Two acting-school owners arrested for duping people

Two persons who were running an acting school were arrested by police for duping people by exchanging fake currency in lieu of original notes in south east Delhi's Badarpur area.

The duo arrested were identified as, Shahid alias Raj Shinghaniya (24) a native of Poornia, Bihar and currently residing in Batla House area of Delhi and Hemraj (44) a resident of  Noida UP.

DCP (southeast) Chinmoy Biswal said, in July, a complainant reported that, he is contractor of tiles and one of his known namely Raj Shinghania along with Hemraj and Salman met with him at Badarpur.

Raj was knowing that the victim was having Rs three lakhs hence Raj told him that they also have a bundle of Rs six lakhs in fake currency and they can exchanged the currency. Raj torn the corner of the packet and showed the money to the victim.

The complainant further stated that he became greedy and he exchanged the packet and when he tried to check the packet Raj denied him to do so due to large amount.

The victim reached home and opened the packet and found that the packet was having (Churan wale notes ) notes which were used by children while playing.

With the help of local intelligence, Raj was nabbed from Jaitpur Mor, Badarpur and on his instance Hemraj was also nabbed from Molarband Extension, Badarpur.

During interrogation Shahid disclosed that he is fond of acting and he wanted to be a Bhojpuri star. He tried but failed and due to financial issues he couldn't produce his own film.

Later he came to Delhi and started an acting school in the name of Shahid Stars at Nizamuddin, New Delhi. He couldn't manage the expenses of the school and hence he hatched a conspiracy along with Hemraj who was working as a barber at his office, to rob people by offering them fake currency.

They also involved Salman who procured a Police Uniform as if in case the robbery would have gone wrong Salman would come there for help impersonating as a cop.
