Step to provide edu, residential facility to children of labourers

In order to provide education facility along with residential facility to the children of labourers in the State, decision has been taken to start Shramodaya Vidyalayas in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior.

The construction work of school buildings is being undertaken in Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior by the Public Works Department at a cost of total Rs 150 crore.

Capital Project is undertaking the construction work of Sharmoday Vidyalaya Bhavan in Bhopal. Apart from the school building, girls and boys hostel, teachers and staff quarters are also being constructed in the Shramoday Vidyalaya premises.

Public Works Minister Sajjan Singh Verma has issued instructions to the officials to pay special attention to the quality of construction of the buildings. In addition, he has also instructed to complete the construction works within the stipulated time limit.

Two-storeyed Shramodaya Vidyalaya Bhavans are under construction in Betma in Indore district. These buildings will provide facility for study to 1200 students. The buildings will have laboratory, computer lab and administrative office. Separate hostels are being constructed for 600 boys and 600 girls in the premises.

About 90 per cent construction work of the Shramoday Vidyalaya Bhavan has been completed in Indore. In Jabalpur and Gwalior 80 percent of construction of the Shramoday Vidyalaya Bhavans has been completed. Proper drainage system along with all essential modern facilities has been provided in the Shramodaya Vidyalaya Bhavans.
