Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal inaugurated Temporary Exhibition on ‘Wilderness in the Dark’, ‘Skelton of Crocodile’ and ‘Series of Gond Painting base on Nature Conservation’ on the occasion of 22nd Anniversary of the Museum on Sunday.
U Prakasham, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) & Chief Wildlife Warden, Madhya Pradesh Forest Department, Bhopal was the Chief Guest and Pushppendra Pal Singh, Editor-in-Chief, Madhya Pradesh Madhyam, Bhopal was the Guest of Honour of the programme. A Painting Competition also organized by RMNH, Bhopal on Sunday for the students of class 8 to 10 on the theme ‘Industrial Water Pollution’. Total 167 students from 26 schools of Bhopal participated in the competition.
In the continuation, Museum organized Street Play to create awareness among the people towards the importance of Ozone Layer, ozone depleting substance and the harmful effects of Ozone Hole. The Street Play on ‘Save Ozone Layer’ was performed by Child Artists of Jawahar Bal Bhawan, Bhopal under the direction of KG Trivedi.
Scientist-in-charge of the museum Manoj Kumar Sharma welcomed the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, invitees, teachers from various schools, students and winners of various competitions. Scientist-B of the museum Manik Lal Gupta detailed about the programmes & activities organized in calendar year by the RMNH.
Guest of Honour Pushppendra Pal Singh congratulated the museum on 22nd anniversary and appreciated the museum to works for environment conservation. He told that children and teenager should aware towards environment conservation. Singh informed that we worship the nature in our Indian culture.
Guest of Honour and Scientists of Museum distributed the prize and certificates to winners of Essay Writing Competition held on June 29, 2019, winners of Declamation Contest held on August 23, 2019 and winners of the Painting Competition held on Sunday.
