Kolar police have booked an employee of LPG gas agency for captivating and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl at Swaran Jayanti Park on January 13; search for the accused has been started after victim reported the incident.

Police said that the victim who was on her way to school was lured by the accused identified as Ravi Thapa and later sexually assaulted her at Swaran Jayanti park.

The victim girl is a resident of Priyanka Nagar and is a student of class 9.

A complaint was lodged when victim’s father found her crying after she received call of the accused who was forcing her to have physical relationship with him after which a complaint was lodged by the victim stating that on January 13, when she was boarded a low-floor bus to school the accused lured her to accompany her and later she alighted off the bus at Gehunkheda bus stop and sexually assaulted her at Swaran Jayanti park. He threatened her of life and later used to pressurize her of having physical relationship.

The police have registered a case under sections 376, 363 and 506 of the IPC and sections of POCSO Act and started search to nab him.

Meanwhile frustrated over prolong illness 24year-old woman committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at TT Nagar area on Sunday.

Police said that the deceased Sangeeta Giri was found hanging and declared dead when she was taken to nearby hospital. The victim was suffering from Paralysis. Police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC.
