Lions club of Bokaro thermal organised a Peace poster competition at station club here on Sunday. Altogether 68 students of DVC High & Middle school, Kendriy Vidylaya, Indian School of learning, Carmel English and Hindi medium, DAV Kathara, Pitts Mordern School, Gomia and St Paul Modern school, Bokaro thermal took part in the competition. It was judged by Soma Banerjee, Vikash Kumar Das, Mukesh Mahto and A.K.Singh.
According to Lions member Inderjit Singh in this year’s lions International’s annual inter school peace poster drawing contest, eight schools from Bokaro Thermal and its surrounding areas participated with three of their best students in the age group of 11 to 13 years.
Two other winners would also be selected for small token of appreciation. The contest was organised on the theme “Share peace,” added Singh.
Welcoming all the participants and their teachers and parents, club president Ln B Laxminih and Ln UK Nair shared about the rules and regulations of the contest and wished that one of the participants would be eligible to win the international award.
Other lions members including Ln Nilesh Ekka, Ln J Giri, Ln Binod Bhatia, Ln SD Singh, and Ln Prakash Thakkar shared their experiences of the contest.
The 68 participants drawing entries, in which after judging the best of three entries have been declared were identified as Ayush Kumar Sharma, Ankit Sharma, Aditya Bala, all three students of DAV Kathara got first, second and third position while two others were Trisa Jha and Nisu Kumari selected for small token of aappreciation.
