The Karttabya Swachhasebi Sangathan in association with the Blood Donors Are Life Savers, Lions Club Kendrapada Nilachakra and Mahakalpara Youth Group organised a health awareness programme and blood donation camp at Chhedakani, Mahakalpara and Kendrapada on Wednesday.
More than three hundred people of nearby panchayats were examined by Central Red Cross Blood Bank Medical Officer (MO) Dr Chandrika Prasad Das and Mahakalpara MO Dr Hrushikesh Lenka.
In the blood donation camp about 60 units of blood were collected. Among others, Lions Club, Kendrapara Nilachakra president Deepak Choudhury , Blood Donors are Life Saver founder Laxman Swain, Red Cross life member Arun Das, Naba Diganta Bisoi, Pranay Parida Rajkishore Nayak, Kulamani Choudhury , Ashok Senapati and Badal Senapati were present.
